World War I South Australian Servicemen Deaths

This database of World War I deaths of South Australian servicemen who died overseas now contains information about 5,700 servicemen and includes, amongst others, members of the 10th, 12th, 16th, 27th, 32nd, 43rd, 48th and 50th Infantry Battalions of the Australian Imperial Force. Other casualties who died as a result of war wounds or disease soon after their return home are being compiled and will be added when available.
The search results include each serviceman's name; birth date & place; parents; residence, occupation & marital status when enlisting; service number, rank & unit; death date, place, age & cause; and cemetery where buried or commemorated. Some of this data is not available on the Australian War Memorial, Commonwealth War Graves Commission or National Archives web sites.
